Are you a perfectionist?

We must not be like a perfectionist who thinks:
“ My Portuguese is far from decent. That’s why I avoid to talk in Portuguese. My vocabulary is about a few words. My pronunciation is so bad that people seem not understand me. And, after all, there is a lot of people who talks in English.”

Let me tell you that all of those explanations are hiding a big lack of will to try. What is the result of this on your Portuguese language life? None!

In fact, to wait for the time you will know perfectly how to speak is stopping you to speak! How think you will be able to speak perfectly if you are not practicing?

It is very good to want to be your best version.
It is very good to be correct.
It is very good to show respect by talking correctly.
It is very good to be focus on the details.

But it is very bad when you prevent yourself from learning.

Don’t be afraid to make numerous mistakes. Actually, you need them to progress in your Portuguese learning journey.

You are not where you want to be, yet? It’s ok! Perfection may take time.  
So go with what you have. And go right away!
